How Quitting makes you a Winner

I’ve been going up and down lately in my feelings about myself as a writer. One day, I’ll read my own work and go…

Dude..(of course, I’m a forty-four year old lady, but Dude is what the voice in my head calls me when I’m writing)...Dude, it says to me…YOU are a freaking literary giant in the making..

Then the next day,  I scan over my horrifying piece of crap and my little voice cries out.. Jesus, my five year old niece writes better than you do..

Luckily, those are the days when I “take it to the streets.”  The days when I dig for help from people who know what the holy-hades they’re talking about.

This post, from the amazing Kristen Lamb, instructor, and author of the best-selling books We Are Not Alone—The Writer’s Guide to Social Media and Are You There, Blog? It’s Me, Writer gave me a new perspective on how Quitting can be the answer to most of my insecurities.

About Janet

I'm one of those chicks who love books so much, I couldn't stand it till I wrote one of my own. I write YA Time Travel, and am dreaming of the day when someone a LOT smarter than me will invent a time machine. I have a wonderful hubby and two amazing boys, who--over the years--have ruined me forever from liking sappy chick-flicks. Now, I'm all about the fantasy. GoT ROCKS!! I am repped by the phenomenal Mollie Glick of Foundry Lit.
