About Janet

I'm one of those girls who love books so much, I couldn't stand it till I wrote one of my own. I'm dreaming of the day when someone a LOT smarter than me will invent a real time machine. I have a wonderful hubby and two amazing boys, who--over the years--have ruined me forever for sappy chick-flicks. Now, I'm all about the fantasy-action. Thor...mmm... And GoT double mmm! I'm also an author with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt...INTO THE DIM & SPARKS OF LIGHT (coming 8/1/2017). I am repped by the phenomenal Mollie Glick of Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

  1. Girl it HAS to be Eleanor of Aquitane. She is timeless.

  2. Kelly G. says:

I’ll go with Cersei, but mostly because Lena Headey kicked some serious butt in the Sarah Connor Chronicles. (I’ve been a little hesitant to watch GoT b/c of all the rape.)

  3. I don’t even know! I barely know who Cersai is let alone Eleanor D:

  4. Warisha says:

definitely Eleanor of Aquitaine. She looks fierce!

  5. Kathryn Carmichael says:

    I honestly don’t know haha

  6. Umm I don’t watch Games of Throne and haven’t watched the movie but from the GIFs, I’m going to go with Eleanor of Aquitaine for sure. She looks fierce!

  7. I’m not a big fan of GoT so I can’t really decide with Cersei Lannister. BUT considering Eleanor of Aquitaine birthed kings and queens of England, I’d have to go with her. 😛 many thanks for the giveaway!

  8. Sarah Cone says:

Eleanor of Aquitaine would win hands down!

  9. Lisa ten Brummelhuis says:

I have no idea who Eleanor is, but looking at that GIF I understand why so many people choose her. I’ll have to go with Cercei though, that woman knows how to get what she wants (most times) and is not afraid to get people killed who stand in her way. She is a little crazy though

  10. Tammy V. says:

I think Cersei because she would fight dirtier than Eleanor.

  11. Emily says:

    Eleanor hands down!

  12. Absolutely Eleonor of Aquitaine! Cersei is a schemer but Queen Eleonor is a fighter too and I don’t think Cersei would stand a change against her!

  13. Niki Moss says:

I’ll vote Cersei, but I honestly don’t know much about either. She seems pretty badass from what I’ve seen though. 🙂

  14. Gene Davis says:

    Eleanor of course!

  15. Lol I only know Cersei Lannister from Game Of Thrones so I would go with her 🙂

  16. Rachael says:

I’d have to go with Eleanor of Aquitaine. She means business.

  17. Eleanor of Aquitane. For me Cersei ascent to the top was more because of her father’s machinations.

  18. Eileen says:

Tough question but I’m going to go with Cersei Lannister because her facial expressions kill, hahaha~

  19. Nicole says:

It’s Cercei, hands down. I either would be a bestie with her or avoid her as the plague. I miss seeing her fierce face on my tv.

  20. Ava Mortier says:

    Definitely Eleanor of Aquitane!!

  21. Erin Blake says:

Cercei. Girl’a got little honor. She’d fight as dirty as she could to win.

  22. Grace Radford/Anna Pett says:

Cercei, just because she’s the one that I actually know of. haha.

  23. Lizzie says:

I don’t know who’d win! I don’t really know either woman, but I’d say Eleanor based off of that gif, and because it’s Katharine Hepburn!

  24. Natalie says:

Cersei Lannister. If she can manage to make it through multiple books/seasons of Game of Thrones, she can do just about anything, including beating Eleanor. Thank you for the awesome giveaway!

  25. Sarah K says:

Probably not Cerseri because SHAME SHAME SHAME. Lol. I think she’s broke now. But, she is pretty fierce.

  26. ELEANOR all the way. Cersi is fierce, but Eleanor was fiercer.

  27. Sandra Li says:

    Cersei Lannister!!!!!

  28. Brandi Shelden says:

    Definitely Eleanor of Aquitaine!

  29. Cassidy says:

  30. Vicki Barney says:

Eleanor would win. Handily & regally.

  31. Alaina says:

I would have to say Cersie Lannister, she isn’t ever scared to get exactly what she wants!

  32. Danielle D. says:

I’d have to say Eleanor would win, but it would definitely be one hell of a fight to watch.

  33. Erica says:

Hmmm… that’s a tough one. I may go with Cersei Lannister.

  34. D.Ann C says:

I know nothing of GofT, but the crusades were barbaric and since Eleanor of Aquitaine was involved in them in real life, I’m sure she’d win.

  35. Artemis Giote says:

    Definitely Eleanor of Aquitane!!!!!!!!

    Thank you for the chance.

  36. Sjoukje says:

Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister is fierce & scary!
I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side!

Thank you so very much for the chance Janet!
I’m so excited about ”Into the dim”! 🙂

P.s. I signed up for your newsletter :)!

  37. Sam Taylor says:

I have to go with Eleanor, because she a real-world fierce lady! Go get ’em.

  38. Mandy R says:

Eleanor of Aquitaine would win!! Oh, the many undergrad history papers I wrote on her.

  39. HollyB says:

Okay, as much as I LOVE A Song of Ice and Fire (I’ve been reading it since the first book came out, and I’ve never seen the TV show), and as BRILLIANT as GRRM is – he’s a MASTER at characterization, among many other things – it simply HAS to be Eleanor of Aquitaine!!! She’s my absolute favorite real-life royal to read about, and she was a complete and total badass, esepcially considering the times in which she lived. And I’m sure we only know like 1/10 of all her badassery! She is amazing and I think she’d have Cersei kissing her feet!! (BTW, this is a great question!)

  40. hj says:

have to say.. Cersei. did you see her at the end of last season? EPIC.

  41. Abbie says:

Cersei Lannister fighting Eleanor of Aquitaine would be like out of shape me (not me from when I used to go outside, college body me with a sore back and I-ate-chocolate-again-to-motivate-me pudge) fighting, well a bear. Guts, carnage, and travesty. My tempermental dachshund Linus could take Cersei Lannister down with a particularly scathing woof. To paraphrase Littlefinger (gross I know but dude knows how to say words I remember so there) all blondie has is a okay face and daddy’s money. I have that too, y’all. Eleanor of Aquitaine, well….damn. NOW THAT’s A LADY!!!!!! Heir to half of modern day France, married two kings, dumped the French one when he got a little too outta hand (instead of just whining about it and banging her brother and not even the one with the Emmys), hooked uo with the English king, the controlled them both, raised Richard the Lionheart and the little lion man from the Disney Robin Hood, founded the Courts of Love which lead to the genre of chivalric romance. If Cersei were alive today she would be an alcoholic soccer mom. If Eleanor was alive today she’d be President. No contest, except the one I am writing this for.

Now Eleanor versus Sansa Stark once she comes into her own…hmmm.

    Now El

  42. Lisa says:

Cersei, I mean haven’t you seen Lena Headey as MaMa in the Judge Dredd movie, she is just BA as a villian.

  43. _Sandra_ says:

Cersei is one tough (and scary!) chick, but my vote goes to Eleanor of Aquitaine, she’s total badass. 🙂

  44. Eleanor, hands down. She is one of my favorite real-life royals, and she’s quite badass ^_^

  45. Not sure, but probably the lady on the left. She looks pretty hardcore, like she can take almost anyone down.

  46. Danielle Cueco says:

Nah, Cersei uses pawns for her deeds most of the time. Eleanor, on the other hand, hands down badass. From what I’ve read of her, she’s strong and decisive and take matters on her own hands. So yeap, Eleanor will surely win! Shame, Cersei, pun intended.

Also, I cannot wait what role Eleanor will play in Into the Dim. *excited*

  47. I’d say Eleanor. Cersei was very tough until she was taken down/threatened by Margery.

  48. Sophie says:

I’d definitely want Eleanor to win, she’s a true historical bamf!! And she’s one of my favourite queen’s England has ever had!:)

  49. Justine says:

I’ll go for Eleanor because she looks stronger than Cersei.

  50. Sandra K says:

Eleanor hands down, she was such a badass! 🙂

  51. Jennzah says:

    CERSEI. hands down.

  52. Melissa Lee says:

    Eleanor of Aquitaine!!

  53. Dilara says:

    Eleanor of Aquitaine, hands down!

  54. Brooke says:

Oooh! Need need need! So excited for this it sounds amazing!

  55. Giselle says:

Oh it would totally be Cersei. She is utterly ruthless and spares no emotion, save for those she holds dearest. It’s funny you chose these two queens because when we watched A Lion in Winter last year in my film/playwriting class, my friends and I were renaming the characters to Game of Thrones characters!

  56. Samantha says:

Cersei but only because at the moment I know so little about Eleanor and so much about Cersei’s ruthlessness.

  57. Tara says:

In the end they would team up to face off a cheating lover!

  58. Sana P. says:

    Cersei Lannister!

  59. Ellie says:

I vote Cercei! Mostly because I don’t know as much about Eleanor’s ruthlessness. Thanks for the giveaway!

  60. Theresa says:

To behonest, I have no idea
